Utility of multiparametric MRI for prostate cancer diagnosis

In the diagnosis of prostate cancer, the detection of clinically significant prostate cancer (csPCa) is particularly important. With the progress of medical imaging equipment in recent years, it has been shown that multiparametric MRI and MRI / US fusion biopsy are useful for detecting csPCa. This lecture will focus on the evidences of this theory.


Junichi Inokuchi

Dr. Junichi Inokuchi is currently Associate Professor of Department of Urology, Graduate School of Medical Sciences, Kyushu University. Prior to his return to Kyushu University in 2008, he performed researches on prostate caricinogenesis at Irvine Medical Center, University of California. He is the specialist of robotic and minimally invasive urologic surgery, and has trained numerous urologist as a mentor. He has led and reported many cohort studies using large nationwide database on upper urinary tract urothelial cancers. Dr. Inokuchi has more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific publications. He is the editorial manager of Nishinihon Journal of Urology, and is the deputy editor of International Journal of Urology, and IJU Case Report.
